Northampton University graduate fashion catwalk

This week I attended Northampton University's annual graduate fashion show.

An old school friend of mine was showing her collection, so I went along to the VIP bits as her plus one.

Really amazing mix of fashion design, there was a bit of everything! Many moods, colours, styles, shapes, and textures. Lots of very impressive collections, least of all my friend Ayse's. Very proud friend!

I want to share her talent and some of the other students' collections... here are my faves from the show (it was so hard to pick!)

 Both from Ayse's collection. Thin calf hide leather capes, - especially beautiful on the ebony models.

 Another favourite for simplicity and crisp lines, lots of flounces, very feminine.

 This one definately inspired me - knitted plastic tubing, very sculptural, loved it!

DMU Art & Design Degree Show

Last night was opening night of our university Art & Design degree show, 

an exhibition from today until Thursday, to showcase this year's graduating Art & Design students and their final projects.

The evening was a memorable one,  with Fletcher building bursting at the seams with excitement and anticipation. A very proud moment.

Admission is free throughout the week, so if you're near Leicester, take a look!

Collection Photoshoot

I have been busy making more neck pieces and capes for my collection as degree show is looming!

A couple of things have changed during making these pieces, including my sudden want to shoot my neck pieces for menswear accessories as well as womenswear.

So yesterday I conducted a shoot of my products with male and female looks.

Graduate Fashion Week appearance!

Two of my neckpieces will be featured in this year's De Montfort University stand at Graduate Fashion Week in London this week.

Look out for the monochrome style stand with neon lighting, these two babies will be exhibited along with my business cards, CVs and boards in the DMU Fashion Fabrics and Textile Design portfolio.
