Carnaby Street pop up shop - necklaces FOR SALE!

I will be selling some newbie necklaces at Carnaby Street over the next couple of weeks.

My university has arranged a 2week pop up shop to promote and sell fashion and textiles graduate products 12th-25th July this summer.

The shop will be in Kingly Court on Carnaby Street, manned by students throughout the fortnight.

I will be working Wed 13th and Thurs 14th next week.

Here's a sneaky preview of some of the new necklaces I'm making....

Moving back to London - fresh studio, fresh colour, fresh ideas.

I have just finished my university course (BA(Hons) Textile Design (Mixed Media Textiles) -(got a 2:1!)  at De Montfort University in Leicester) and have moved back down south to be nearer London and return home.
A big step and a whole new chapter of my life!

During the adventure of New Designers and some exciting new opportunities coming my way, I have started a small business creating leather necklaces, corsages and other accessories.

Moving home, I have comandeered a second room to use as my new studio and work on accessories to sell. -Jammy I know!

It is so good to have my own space to work, with  room to store all my feathers, beads, sketchbooks and fabrics. Plus it's got a great view, being a loft conversion :)

After a very successful leather sourcing day yesterday, I'm so excited to get started on creating some more colourful necklaces this week - lots of purples, deep reds and blues/greens and tans.
Watch this space!

Also had a rather successful trip to the park Monday, having collected some very beautiful parrot, pheasant and budgie feathers from the friendly man who looks after the pets corner!
I have plans for these beauties....

Blogged online by littlegoytre.wordpress.com

My collection has been blogged on http://littlegoytre.wordpress.com/ by LITTLE GOYTRE

A bit about the blog:
- An online homage to everything that is individual and original in the world of arts, crafts and design. As a good friend eloquently said, it is meant as ‘a cornucopia of all that’s quirky, creative and new’.

She writes:
"gorgeous sculptural pieces are part of a mixed media collection based on the concept of flight."
"During my whirlwind visit I was greeted by smiling, fresh-faced designers, all eager to talk about their work. Those I did get to speak to inspired me with their ideas and their enthusiasm, and their passion for doing something totally new – what went unspoken was that need for someone to give them the chance to shine."

Two necklaces SOLD at New Designers

At new designers this week, I sold another 2 of the new reversable leather necklaces to 2 new clients.

Both are reversable trio-bow design
Silks and leathers

More newbies are made and up for sale on my Folksy site
Different colours and designs
Reversable necklaces
brooches and corsages
All authentic leather

Some inspiring jewellers at New Designers this year!

After a tiring, whirlwind, exciting week exhibiting my accessories and textiles at New Designers, the week is over, and the work was taken home last night.

In my day-after recovery, I am browsing some business cards of the most beauiful design work I saw at the show in the Jewellery section.

Here are 2 of my favourites from Jewellery.....
